Game Modes

Some Partner and Featured servers are big hubs with lots of games — for example a lobby with Bedwars, SkyWars and more. In BedrockConnect, these servers let you pick a game mode before you start.

How to pick a game mode​

  1. Open the Servers tab and tap a Partner or Featured server
  2. If the server has two or more game modes, you'll see Game mode chips on the server page
  3. Tap the game mode you want
  4. Tap Start (or Ad & Start) like always
The app remembers your pick

The first game mode is selected for you. When you pick another one, BedrockConnect remembers it for that server — next time it's already selected.

Stop the server to change the mode

You can't change the game mode while the server is running. Tap Stop first, pick a new mode, then start again.

Texture packs per game mode​

Every game mode has its own texture packs. That's why the TEXTUREPACK status on the server page changes when you pick a different mode — packs might work in one mode but not in another.

Good to know​

  • Servers with only one game mode don't show a picker — just tap Start.
  • Partner and Featured servers don't show an IP address and port anymore. Only your own Custom servers do.
