Subpacks are a feature in Minecraft Bedrock Edition that allows the user to choose between different texture configurations. They are primarily intended for texture resolutions tailored to various storage capacities but can also be used to create file variations in resource packs. These variations can be selected by clicking the gear icon and adjusting the slider.
Adaptability for Different Devices: Subpacks facilitate the loading of texture resolutions suitable for the memory capacity of a specific device.
Variety in Resource Packs: They offer the flexibility to include multiple variations within a single resource pack. For example, a resource pack can have different sky textures included as subpacks, allowing users to choose their preferred sky texture while only using one pack at a time.
Accessing Subpacks: In the game settings, click on the gear icon next to a resource pack to view its subpacks.
Selecting a Subpack: Use the slider to choose the desired subpack configuration. This choice can affect the game's visual appearance and performance, depending on the device's capability.
Please note that the BedrockConnect app is designed exclusively for the use of Resource Packs / Texture Packs. Other types of modifications, such as shaders, modpacks, addons, clients, skin packs, etc., are not supported. The app only processes the contents of the "Front", "Textures", "Texts", "Sounds" and "Particles" folders from the resource packs.
Warning: Owners of less powerful consoles should select lower-resolution or simpler Subpacks to prevent performance issues such as slow loading, laggy gameplay, and potential crashes.
Lower-Resolution Subpacks: Optimal for enhancing performance on weaker consoles.
Performance Impact: Be aware that high-resolution textures can strain your console. Choose wisely based on your device's capabilities.
