# What are serverpacks?

Serverpacks are special resource packs for Minecraft servers that are generally required to be downloaded and activated before joining a server. They serve to enrich the gaming experience with customized textures and visual elements. Here you see an example of a prompt to download such a serverpack.

**Important Information:** Please be aware that **not all servers offer server packs.** Before attempting to find a server pack, ensure that your cache is empty. If your cache is clear and you still do not need to download a server pack for the selected server, this indicates that the server does not have a server pack.
